Having a lovely time in Australia!

We are having a lovely holiday!

Check out our first apartment. What a great view we have from our balcony. We are not scared of being high up at all!

(Please excuse the spot on Rebekah's cheek - she's been bashing herself again, and currently sports even more scrapes! It's dangerous work on holiday! ;) )

Our first full day here, we went to tropical fruit world. We had a ride around the orchard,

And opened macadamia nuts to eat.

We played on the playground and then took a ride on a little train (do you see a train theme in this blog??). Toot toot!

We also rode on a boat at tropical fruit world, and fed the ducks. We saw lots of other animals too though we were too busy feeding them to get photos! We did try lots of different fruit though. You will note that Dad spent a wee bit of time near the chips and guacamole dip, he thought they were even better than the fruit! ;)

The very next day, we visited Dreamworld. What a great day we had there!
We got up close with farm animals, and Rebekah got friendly with a SNAKE! We drove some cars - but who is this strange driver who likes to stand as she steers??? (I can tell you that whoever she is, she made a grumpy passenger, and was not keen to sit in the back seat as she'd already decided she would make a much better chauffeur!)

Rebekah took a plane ride with dad, while Amy went for a Blue's Clues spin with mum. And then who should we spot, but our favourite character, Dora! Boy were we thrilled! We plastered Dora with hugs and kisses!

Rest assured - we don't have photos, but we rode a train at Dreamworld too, ha ha!

Well, we are only halfway through our trip, with lots more fun to come - so watch this space :D

Lots and lots of photos!

More train fun with our cousins

And more cousins - we enjoyed a roast chicken dinner

...and then we were mesmerised by a movie :D

Look at this little cutie. Mummy rang the phone while she was holding it, that got a smile!

Bath time...

Rebekah had given herself a fat lip!

We go to the zoo lots. This time, Rebekah got a frog mask to wear :D

Trainy days

Trains are a big hit in this house. He may not have any sons, but Dad is never short of train-centred fun. Rebekah especially is train-mad (that and planes), and is always asking to see the trains (ie drive near a train track and wait for a train appear). One of her favourite days out is a visit to the Glenbrook steam trains, which Amy enjoys as well.

Here's our very own train set, which is a favourite toy for everyone (dad included). Rebekah loves to build track and push the trains around (calling out, "toot-toot!"), while Amy prefers to be a modern day sort of King Kong, busting the track and trains as she sees fit!

Now here comes the train monster... be afraid, be very afraid!

It starts out innocent...

But Train-Kong is bent on distruction!

And not even the track is safe!
